COVID-19로 문화 생활이 어려워진 작년부터, 유튜브를 통해 종종 뮤지컬 디어에반한센의 넘버 중 'You Will Be Found' 영상을 보곤 한다.

사람들과의 단절이 생각보다 꽤 오래 지속되면서, 혼자서도 잘 노는 나 조차도 가끔씩 외롭고 힘이 빠지는 순간들이 있었다. 그 때마다 힘든 상황의 당신을 발견해 줄거다, 당신은 혼자가 아니다라는 'You Will Be Found'의 메세지가 작은 위로가 되었다.

백신 접종으로 일상 복귀에 대한 기대감이 드는 요즘, 디어에반한센 브로드웨이 공연도 9월 중으로 시작하고 뮤지컬 초연 배우 벤 플랫 주연의 디어에반한센 영화도 조만간 개봉한다니 기대 된다.

소설과 음반으로만 만난 디어에반한센 오리지널 브로드웨이 공연도 언젠가 꼭 보고싶다.
